• Member of State Bar of Michigan, Wisconsin and California
• Practicing attorney for more than 20 years, including extensive civil and criminal practice
• Skilled trial attorney in Michigan, Wisconsin, and California; has tried cases at every level; experienced in civil law, contracts, real estate, family law, and support enforcement
• Served as Deputy Public Defender for San Diego County, California for 7 years handling serious felonies, misdemeanors, child abuse, and juvenile delinquency matters
• Served on Dickinson County's Indigent Public Defender Contract for many years representing persons accused of crimes who could not afford to hire an attorney
• Appointed counsel for the Wisconsin Office of the State Public Defender for 13 years
• Attorney for Dickinson County Road Commission for 10 years.
• Attorney for State of Wisconsin Florence County Child Support Agency for 10 years enforcing child support obligations
• Attorney for the Iron Mountain Housing Commission and Kingsford Housing Commission for 12 years
• Former Legal Intern for the Michigan Appellate Defender Office

Community Involvement

• Serves on Board of Trustees, Dickinson Area Community Foundation
• Longtime member of Iron Mountain-Kingsford Zonta Club, a service organization that donates monies raised to local needs including past service on the Board of Directors
• Treasurer, Boy Scout Troop 510, Kingsford, Michigan
• President, Ladies Golf Association, Pine Grove Country Club, Iron Mountain, Michigan
• Active member and volunteer, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Iron Mountain, Michigan serving as a confirmation guide and lector
• Past President of Dickinson County Bar Association, single-handedly organized the Law Day Forum 1998 where local attorneys and judges answered legal questions free of charge to the public
• Co-director and legal instructor for the first “People’s Law School- 1998” where local attorneys, judges and other elected officials taught a 6-week course in practical legal information to the public
• Former Business Law Instructor at Bay de Noc Community College, Kingsford campus
• Donates countless hours to our school systems by providing legal counsel free of charge, volunteering time, and giving financially
